Musee D’Orsay
The musee d’orsay is simply amazing, not only in the art it contains, but also in the building as a whole. I loved going to the top floor and loking through the clocks all the wya to sacre coeur, but alas, i couldn’t capture a good picture of it.
I tried to look at the paintings with the “gaze of the painter” that Dali talks about in his writings and as such only really looked at a handful of paintings. I kept thinking of his commentary on van gogh:
Van Gogh was mad, and unconditionally, generously and gratuitously cut off his left ear with the blade of a razor. I am not mad either…
when looking at the van gogh paintings there is a motion and a cognitive dissonance that left me in awe.
